The Indonesian Navy’s (Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Laut: TNI-AL’s) four Diponegoro-class corvettes will be equipped with Thales’ TACTICOS Baseline 2 Combat Management System (CMS) and Naval Smarter (NS) 50 radar, the company confirmed Janes.

The upgrade will be carried out under a contract signed in early November between Thales and Indonesian state-owned defense electronics firm PT Len Industri to refurbish the integrated mission system of the four Diponegoro-class TNI-AL ships.

Under this contract, TACTICOS Baseline 2 will operate on SIGMA 10514 Perusak Kawal Rudal (PKR) TNI-AL guided-missile frigates, Bung Tomo-class corvettes and now Diponegoro-class ships, said Olivier Rabourdin, country director. Fales in Indonesia told Janes November 15.

In accordance with Janes data, TACTICOS Baseline 2 introduces MOC Mk 4 consoles, a workflow-oriented human machine interface (HMI) model that offers improved operator acceptance support, a large-screen collaboration wall, and new environmental cabinets, central processing, switch boxes, storage and interface.
